Rinse the mung beans thoroughly to remove any impurities.
1 cup Mung beans (monggo beans)
Combine the mung beans and 4 cups of water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer until tender (usually about 30-40 minutes). Add more water if needed. Set aside.
